“ It has been a while since coming down to the Wellwood. Excellent atmosphere and interesting conversation with staff and also some other customers. Staff with some unique talents and also cool people too. The Wellwood was smooth sailing on a beautiful day and even though busy, wait time was not an issue. Excellent Surf and Turf wit h a symphony of flavor bouquets to make it perfect. A gem in Cecil County. No wake in the surf here. Good times! ”
“ First time for me and my fam trying crabs and what a fantastic experience it was! Ashlyn was our server and she was great! We asked her if she could check on large crabs and we were in luck. They came out extra large and spiced well with Old Bay. Since it was my family's first time Ashlyn helped us and even asked to post some pictures for the restaurant's socials. It was so much fun and a great memory My kids and I had a blast pulling these things apart and our friends who are from Maryland guided us all the way. What an adventure The other food we ordered was out just as fast as the crabs and it was so tasty. The fried chicken was really good. Overall I really enjoyed this experience, would definitely recommend it, and plan on coming back ”

“ This is one of my favorite seafood restaurants in Maryland. I make it a point to visit almost every time I’m home visiting. I specifically like the crab fries and of course the grab cakes are also very good. I tried the crab bisque this time which was also great. The gingerbread martini sounded like a really good holiday drink, it was good when ordering it but I don’t know if I would get it again. As always the staff were super friendly and attentive. Our waiter made a mistake on our order but quickly resolved the issue. Would highly recommend ”

“ Easily some of the very best seafood I've ever had & Florida is my second home, so I've had a ton of it! Absolutely delicious and so fresh you'd think they were catching it as it was ordered. Amazing service. Staff is top tier- friendly, professional, fast and accurate. Relatives that live here have decided to make it their weekly date night spot. So jealous! I can't wait to come back! ”
“ When in Maryland, we look for seafood, and Wellwood delivered. My boyfriend and I went there this past Saturday evening. We were informed there was a 45 to 60 minute wait, but that was ok. The water is across the street and we wanted to walk around. When we eventually got seated, it was outside, which was our preference. Our server Taylor was so sweet. My boyfriend ordered the broiled seafood platter and I ordered the Chesapeake chicken with a baked potato. We both had side salads, and I totally recommend the house dressing, which is a citrusy vinaigrette. My boyfriend is a die-hard bleu cheese dressing kind of guy, and even though he said the dressing was extra chunky and creamy, which he loves, he wished he would have gotten the house dressing. The food is hot and plentiful, the service is great, and the atmosphere was very pretty with all the strung lights. We both feel it was an excellent dining experience, and we will definitely go back when in the area. We had a not so great experience at MacGregor's in Havre de Grace the night before, so we were hoping Wellwood would be better. It definitely was. Thanks to you all for being such an accommodating and excellent restaurant. Can't wait to see you again! ”
“ I LOVE the Wellwood. I always get the bang bang shrimp tacos, and I literally crave them when I am not at the restaurant. Their crabs and shrimp are delicious as well. I am not sure if they still have it, but they did have a sushi roll called "Hairy Mexican" and that was so good. 10/10 recommend. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed! ”
